Busy, Busy, BUSY!

Busy, Busy, BUSY!

I know, I know. I said I would have a long and informative blog post by the end of my first week back at college, but I just wasn't feeling up to it. Now that we are onto week two, I feel like I finally have a routine in place for homework, working out, and yes even Netflix. The stress of that first week has slowly worn off and for once in my college career I finally have what I feel is a normal sleep schedule. Ahhh, how nice it is to be completely independent. This past several days have been full of good news on the scale and good nutrition. Which is definitely needed since my last few runs haven't felt quite satisfactory or easy at all for that matter.
I am so looking forward to this Thursday and stopping at Starbucks for a hot chocolate in between classes. And then the fun continues with a stop at the Bread Garden Market to stock up on Quest bars for the next several weeks.
And some 9 hours or so later things have gotten, if possible, BUSIER!! Had to stop typing in the middle of this post earlier in the day to sign up for my 10 credits of research exposure for my psychology class. this next week or so is going to be jam packed of up to 3 research experiments that I will be participating in in just a day! On the plus side, I will have this requirement done well in advance of any major exams or papers. Go me! Only downside is I have to wait until Saturday at the crack of dawn to go and get my protein bars. Hopefully I won't be too cold out at 6:00 a.m. I have my first research thing tomorrow at 10 a.m. and I am honestly way more excited than nervous.
My workout was fairly decent today considering I had really bad stomach pains for the majority of my 4 mile run and lift. Also, lost 2/10ths of a pound this morning, so I can't really complain about my weight loss progress so far. I feel like I can be where I want to be by my birthday, but I am not going to set any strict goals or numbers for myself. Just seeing my hard work pay off a little at a time each day on the scale is reward enough for me.
Now, another topic that I have tried to avoid thinking about. The dilemma of whether or not to go home for Mak's birthday party in February. Granted I have no clue as to what weekend it will be. But, I finally feel like I have a good thing going here, and I really, really don't want to mess up my routine. I'm also mad jealous of how great she looks since losing weight and I know how bad it is for my own self-esteem to compare my body and its progress (or lack of) to other people's. So, I will probably just stay here and fudge up some excuse about an upcoming exam or paper.
Welp, I think that's all for now folks. Since you know how BUSY this next week or so will be for me, don't expect anymore blog posts for a while. I would project that I should have time next Friday, but honestly who knows. Thanks for reading ya'll! :)
